46 Indian paediatricians, doctors, scientists on Stanford’s 2026 top 2% list
Forty-six Indian paediatricians, doctors and scientists are included in Stanford University's 2026 list of the world's top 2% researchers.

Medical Dialogues reported on 30 October 2026 that 46 paediatricians, doctors and scientists from institutes across India have been included in Stanford University's 2026 list of the world's top 2 per cent of scientists. The ranking draws on a database curated by Professor John P.A. Ioannidis of Stanford, prepared with the Elsevier data repository, and records measures such as citations, h-index and a composite indicator. The report identifies pediatrics as the subfield of research for this group.
The 2025 list, also covered by Medical Dialogues, included 41 paediatricians, doctors and scientists. This year the outlet has also reported separate groups from the same database, including 22 ICMR scientists, 18 dentists, doctors and scientists, and 16 psychiatrists, doctors and scientists, suggesting that Indian clinicians and researchers appear across many specialities.
