Fortis Healthcare buys 110-bed Suguna Hospital in Bengaluru for ₹277 crore
Fortis Healthcare has completed an all-cash acquisition of Suguna Hospital in Bengaluru, a deal valued at about ₹277 crore, through a subsidiary.

Fortis Healthcare Limited has taken over Suguna Hospital, a 110-bed facility in Rajajinagar, north-west Bengaluru, for roughly ₹277 crore. The transaction was carried out by International Hospital Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, through a slump sale covering the hospital's business operations as well as its land and building. The deal was completed on October 28, 2026. Suguna was commissioned in 2006 and can expand to around 150 beds. Fortis said the purchase takes its operational network in Bengaluru to about 1,000 beds.
The acquisition fits the company's cluster-focused growth strategy. Fortis describes the north-west corridor as underserved, and the three facilities there together offer around 500 potential beds. For hospital owners in India, the deal shows large chains consolidating in dense urban markets through acquisitions of operating hospitals.
