How Medvyn chooses and checks stories
Medvyn covers healthcare in India for doctors, hospital leaders and the people who work with them. This page explains how a story gets on Medvyn.
Money never buys a story
Medvyn does not charge to publish news, and paying Medvyn for anything else does not get a story published. Partner features, such as a hospital Spotlight, are always labelled as partner content.
What we publish
News the healthcare community should know about: new services and facilities, firsts in medicine, research, awards and honours, community health work, policy and career developments. We do not publish offers, discounts, rankings, advertisements or patient testimonials.
How we check
Every story is read by an editor. Before publishing a story sent by a reader, we speak to the sender or see a document that supports it. Claims we cannot check are left out or clearly attributed to the person or hospital that made them.
How we write
Stories are written by Medvyn in neutral language. We do not copy press releases. When a story is based on information from a hospital or a doctor, we say so at the end of the story.
Patients
We never name or show patients without their written consent, and we never publish medical reports.
Corrections
If something we published is wrong, tell us. We correct it and note the correction on the story.
