The Chief Minister cited a rise in medical colleges, from 8 in 2001-02 to 43 in 2025-26, and MBBS seats from 1,375 to 7,525 over that span. New medicities are planned at Vasai and Kamrej at an estimated cost of around Rs 3,000 crore. More than 2.87 crore Ayushman cards have been issued in Gujarat.
