NBEMS issues guidelines for in-service DNB and Diploma seat joining
NBEMS has issued a notice on counselling and joining for in-service candidates selected for DNB post-MBBS and NBEMS Diploma seats in the 2026 session.

In a notice reported on 23 October 2026 from New Delhi, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences set out counselling and joining steps for candidates chosen for in-service DNB post-MBBS and NBEMS Diploma seats. These seats are filled through counselling run by State Governments, ESI, Railways, PSUs and AFMS for the 2026 admission session. The notice is addressed to candidates, institutes and hospitals taking part in counselling for the 50 per cent NBEMS state quota reserved for in-service applicants.
Selected candidates must report to their allotted institutes on the counselling schedule, carrying original documents, the seat allotment letter from the counselling authority and a relieving letter from their parent organisation. Hospitals are asked to verify those originals at joining and to confirm that each candidate meets the eligibility criteria before admission to the course. Earlier NBEMS notices to in-service doctors have said training counts only after formal relief from the parent body, and training undertaken before that is treated as void.
