Orchid Medical Centre gets NBEMS approval for two DNB General Surgery seats
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has approved two DNB General Surgery seats at Orchid Medical Centre, Ranchi, with admissions via NEET-PG.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has granted Orchid Medical Centre permission to start two Diplomate of National Board seats in General Surgery, according to a report from Medical Dialogues datelined Ranchi. The private facility plans to begin the programme from the current academic session. Its chairperson, Dr S C Jain, told TOI that candidates for the two-seat course will be admitted through NEET-PG.
DNB is treated as equivalent to MS, MD, DM and MCh degrees, and doctors already holding those degrees can appear directly for the DNB exit examination. Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that six government medical institutions in Odisha received recognition for 17 postgraduate seats across four specialities, including paediatrics and anaesthesiology.
